Will Airfree Air Sterilizers prevent me from catching the H1N1 Swine Flu?

No...but it will definitely help. No air purifier...no sterilizer...no product can guarantee you won't catch any disease including H1N1 Flu. An Airfree Air Sterilizer will drastically reduce the possibility if you lived in one room...but you don't...so it can't. It'll strengthen your immune system because you sleep better and your body isn't being irritated and weakened by indoor pollutants so it's better able to resist the flu. And obviously it will reduce the possibility of catching it from someone else who has it in your home. But don't be scared into buying an Airfree Air Purifier or any product from me or anybody else. Buy it because it makes sense for you and your family and because it will make you life better...every day...whether there's Swine Flu or not.

Here's a video that will explain a little bit about the H1N1 Swine Flu and how it spreads...

How do I know my Airfree 3000 is working?
If the top is warm it is working properly.

Can I position my Airfree in a hallway so it will purify more than one room?
No. It's designed to purify one room only.

Will an Airfree Air Sterilizer work in a room with an air conditioner?
Yes.

Does an Airfree Air Sterilizer work in a closed room?
Yes. The room should be at least 7' x 7'. The only reason for the minimum size is because of proper cooling to prevent the overheating shutoff from activating. There are no safety considerations for stipulating the minimum size room.

Must my room's doors and windows be closed?
The official answer from Airfree is no. But I find it counter-intuitive that if the window is open and the there's a stiff breeze blowing through the window that the convection airflow through the Airfree Air Purifier...or any air purifier for that matter... is going to keep up with pollutants being introduced from the outside if a brisk breeze is blowing into the room. I think you have to use common sense according to conditions. But I think the more the air is captive...the more the same air is passed through your Airfree...the better as far as eliminating pollutants. But don't seal the room off either. Again, you just have use common sense.

Can I move my Airfree from room to room so I have it where I am at the moment?
No. You leave your Airfree in the room you want to purify 24/7. If you want to purify more than one room you need more units.

Do Airfree Air Sterilizers cause the room to become too hot?
No. Even having two of them plugged in gives off about the same amount of heat as one adult being in the room.

Does the air become too dry?
No. Running an Airfree does not affect the moisture content of the room's air at all.

Do Airfree Air Sterilizers release any chemicals or gases into the room?
Absolutely none.

Will an Airfree Air Sterilizer help eliminate dust mites?
Yes. I does it by eliminating the mold in the air that mold dependent dust mites feed upon.

Will and Airfree Air Sterilizer eliminate mold growing on surfaces in the room?
It eliminates new mold and fungi because their spores are incinerated so no new colonies form. UV-C Light Wands will kill the mold and fungi but you have to be careful because you can cause those spores to be released when you're treating the surface where they're growing. I think the best way to eliminate existing mold or fungi on a surface is with a liquid disinfectant. Once you have that under control your Airfree Air Purifier will keep it from coming back.

Are Airfree Air Sterilizers truly maintenance free?
Yes. The Airfree is a 100% totally maintenance free air purifier. It's filterless so there are no filters to replace or become unavailable over time. Unlike ion air purifiers there are no collection plates to clean. You take it out of the box...place it in the room you want to sterilize...and plug it in. That's all there is to it!

What circulates the air through an Airfree Air Sterilizer?
Convection causes the air to circulate through your Airfree. Air in the Thermodynamic Sterilization System core is heated to over 400°F which causes it to rise. Air is pulled in through four air intake ports at the bottom of the Airfree. Air is cooled to a slightly warm temperature and expelled through the top. The convection approach to circulating the air is what makes your Airfree the most quiet air purifier (sterilizer) on the market.

How long can I expect my Airfree Onix P3000 Air Sterilizer to last?
Airfree claims there air sterilizers last 5 years. Some other web sites claim they will last virtually forever because there are no moving parts. Assuming the worst...that they will last 5 years...your cost of ownership excluding electricity is about 15 cents/day which I think is very reasonable.
