Earthquake Safety Tips

A recent CNN segment discussed hurricane safety tips. An item considered critical was a simple whistle. You include a whistle in case you become trapped so you can attempt to alert emergency personnel to find you. The same reasoning applies to earthquake safety tips.

But if you're trapped after an earthquake, you might not be in physical condition to blow a whistle. You may loose consciousness. Depending on how long you're trapped you might be asleep when rescuers are nearby. I sell a product that might, God willing, save some lives after an earthquake.

The Screaming Meanie 220 is powered by a 9v battery and has a Sound Locator Beacon. It sounds a 120 dB audio signal for 10 seconds every five minutes. 120 dB can be heard up to a mile away. Certainly there is a much better chance of it being heard than a simple whistle.
