The-Perfect-Present.com Shipping Policy
Most items ship USPS First Class Mail or USPS PRIORITY which means you can expect delivery in 2 to 3 business days from the date of shipment. I have found USPS to be extremely reliable and far less expensive than competing carriers. I'm continuously striving to provide the least expensive shipping costs to our customers.

Orders received by 2:00 PM EST will usually ship the same day. Although we state a 2:00 PM cutoff we make every effort to ship every order received even if it is received after 2:00 PM. All orders are shipped in 24 hours or less from the time your order is received on Sunday through Friday and within 48 hours for orders received on Saturdays. Exceptions may occur because of holidays or other interruptions in normal USPS services.

Please also note that I don't artificially inflate the cost of our products to cover the cost of free shipping. We are absorbing those costs to meet the demands of our customers and can do so because of our low overhead.
Shipping Errors: The customer assumes the responsibility and cost for re shipping an item returned because the customer entered an incorrect shipping address in the cart.
USPS First Class Mail and USPS Priority
2 Days to Most Locations. In rare cases it may take 3 Days to remote post offices.
$4 for orders under $30 and Free for orders $30 or more
USPS Express Guaranteed Overnight by 2nd Day*

Usually overnight means next day. But, depending upon where you live, the U.S. Postal Service will only guarantee delivery by the second day. So you might get your order just as quickly using my standard USPS Priority shipping and save a lot of money.

USPS Global Priority - time can vary drastically because of customs and the ship-to country. This is expensive because the threshold cost for the first pound is over $20.

First Class Mail International - far less expensive the USPS Global Priority... can take up to two weeks to be delivered, and there is no tracking information. Calculated in your Shopping Cart by taking the estimated shipping weight and referencing the USPS Shipping Cost Tables online.
UPS - has the best tracking capability but more expensive than USPS particularly for residential deliveries. Calculated in your Shopping Cart by taking the estimated shipping weight and referencing the UPS Shipping Cost Tables online.
Shipping and Handling for oversized items that cannot be shipped via USPS may be far more expensive than the rates quoted in the table.
Multiple Ship-To Procedure
Sometimes you may want to purchase items in quantity so you get the volume discount but have them shipped to more than one location. I don't think any standard shopping cart can handle that easily. I no longer ship to Europe for the following reasons:

  • I ship via the United States Post Office which gives me no tracking information when shipping to Europe even when using Global Priority. I had a significant number of orders "disappear" in the mail. When that happens the customer expects me to absorb the cost of the lost shipment… which I did at great cost. In addition, delivery times varied significantly resulting in a high volume of calls inquiring when the customer could expect delivery. I had no answer because of the lack of tracking and delivery times varied from a few days to several weeks even to the same country. Freight alternatives that do provide tracking information and reliable delivery were cost prohibitive.
  • Customers complained to me about paying high duty on goods received. I have absolutely no control over this.
  • Size exchanges and warranty claims are a nightmare and extremely costly.
