Method 2 Illustrated...

There are two methods to select the correct size...

Obviously you can go by the shoe sizes. But the actual size of the shoe or boot can vary greatly for the same show size. So here's another way to check.

Measure the length of the shoe or boot you want to put your Grip-X on. Then select the size with a length about 1 inch SHORTER than the length of your shoe or boot... because you want it to stretch. The video on the right shows AltraGrips Lite but it also applies to Grip-X.

Note: I highly recommend the optional Velcro® Ankle Strap at the bottom of this page.. Grip-x stay firmly on your shoes and boots but any ice traction device can come off in deep, wet snow. The ankle strap will stop that from happening and they're too expensive to lose.

Although Grip-X are rock solid and stay on your shoes extremely well I highly recommend getting the ankle straps. If there is one thing I've learned over the years selling ice traction devices is that there always seems to be a way of walking out of them in a deep wet snow. They're too expensive lose and the ankle straps are a good investment.
