We all know most people become more forgetful as they get older. But for many elderly men and women it gets to the point that they don't want to go out of the house. 3 Position Keys can be set to remember 3 different locations. So when they go on vacation they can lock Position 1 to mark the location where they parked. They might then mark the location of the hotel entrance as Position 2. They can then just go out and enjoy their day. They may happen upon a restaurant they might want to try later for super and lock that location using Position 3. So later when the question arises "Now where was that restaurant?" they'll just push the Return Key and the Position 3 Key and the Ecco will direct them back to the restaurant. Done eating? Press the Return Key and then Position Key 2 to direct them back to the hotel.

We all know that many elderly men and women are "techno phobic" and immediately assume they can't use an electronic device. But it just couldn't be more user-friendly. I think after you show it to them a couple of times it would not be difficult for them to use.

It's not fool-proof because they could come out of the mall in my earlier example and press the Lock Key and then the Position Key and then that Position would now be the exit to the mall...not where the car is parked. But I think you have to give them some credit. Furthermore the probability that would happen is far less in most cases than the probability that your elderly parent, friend or relative is wondering around the parking lot for who knows how long looking for their car. And then when you consider the safety aspects of them wandering around lost I think an Ecco Personal Locator is well worth the relatively modest investment considering the overwhelming benefits of owning one.
