Although all our desktop backgrounds copyrighted originals, we encourage you to use the backgrounds and share them with your friends for non-commercial purposes. Check back often because we add new backgrounds almost every week.

When you click on a background image you will download a computer backgrounds installer for that particular installer. The desktop free backgrounds installer simply installs the background on your desktop as you would manually. Note that the installer is set up so that the backgrounds will automatically stretch to the correct size for your screen resolution. There is no software for tracking or any other purpose other than to make it easy for visitors, particularly novice computer users, to install these backgrounds easily.
