"Be sure you're getting a true RF key finder..."

When comparing key finders be careful that you are getting a key finder using radio frequencies (RF) to communicate and not one based on sound. It may look like an RF key finder and appear to operate like a RF key finder. But in reality some of these key finders are using ultrasonic sound to communicate and not radio waves. Here's why this is important to you...

  • A key finder using sound can't locate another key finder if the key finder on the object you're looking for "can't hear" the audio signal coming from the key finder you're holding. So if the object you're looking for with an attached sound activated key finder is under a cushion or in a heavy coat pocket it most often can't hear and respond to the signal. If you're outdoors on a windy day it's the same thing.
  • Sound activated key finders are prone to false alarms from ambient noise in the environment.
  • Since all key finders are responding to the same sound frequency all key finders in your entire sound-based key finder system go off if they are within range of hearing the signal.

FOFA Key Finders use advanced, 2-way RF technology. The key finder you're holding sends out a radio signal with a digital signature specifically produced to find the object you're looking for. You can have up to 36 items on a single FOFA key finder system. When the object you're looking for is within range of that specific radio signal it responds by sounding a loud alarm with a blinking red light... no matter if it's under a cushion of outside on a windy day because the radio signal passes through cushions and walls and wind doesn't make a difference.

But you may be thinking that if the item is buried or you're outside on a windy day you still can't hear the alarm or see the blinking red light whether the key finder is sound or RF technology. But that's where the
2-way RF technology kicks in and sets the FOFA apart from other key finders. That's because when the key finder attached to the object you're looking for receives the radio signal it not only sounds an alarm and flashes but also sends an RF signal back to the FOFA key finder you're holding. The FOFA key finder you're holding then responds to that signal by chirping and flashing a red LED light indicating the object you're looking for is close by. The closer the object the faster it flashes. So you can find your things no matter where they're hiding so you know where to look.

Here's a way to test whether you have a true RF key finder...

Simply take the key finder you would use to locate another key finder and hold it wrapped inside a pillow. Place the other key finder nearby. If it the other key finder responds when you press the button from inside the pillow you probably have an RF key finder. If it doesn't you have a problem because you know misplaced objects are often found under or behind cushions, in heavy coats, in the laundry hamper or possibly outside on a windy day. And even if it does respond you wouldn't have been able to hear or see the other key finder if you're using anything but a FOFA key finder.

This is why FOFA Key Finders consistently win in key finder comparison tests as being the most reliable, effective and affordable key finder system available. Don't settle for less. Get a state-of-the-art FOFA 2-way RF Key Finder System so you know you'll have the best possible chance of finding your things no matter where they're hiding.
